The consumer eyewear market is highly competitive. The consumer audio headphone market is also highly competitive. Standing out in both of these markets with a distinctive new product category takes seasoned designers and "no compromise" engineers. The Bose Frames - Tenor and Soprano audio eyewear break new ground for styling, acoustic wizardry and miniaturized electronics. Bose engineers brought the mind-blowing OpenAudio™ tech and Mixer took it full circle to customers worldwide.
Our Industrial Design team studied the trends, styles and fresh new frames of the season’s latest eyewear to develop an entirely new aesthetic category. Like a fine orchestral instrument, Bose Frames balance the functional form of high-fidelity audio with ergonomics and a beautiful expressive form.
Ergonomic fit was of utmost importance for this global product serving a broad range of users. Stem lengths, face feel and weight balance required an endless stream of rapid prototypes. After scores of iterations with tighter and tighter refinements, our Industrial Designers followed the maxim of Mies van der Rohe: “God is in the details”
