The HP Jet Fusion family of Industrial 3D Printers is a marvel of complex engineering. Interacting with these devices through their User Interface (UI) needed to be obvious and understandable. These machines are designed to be running constantly with multiple users adding jobs to the queue from multiple locations. The UI of this system needed to help users to quickly understand machine status, build status, and process times.

Skin Tight
Mixer worked with HP’s usability team to be sure all functions were clear and easy-to-use. We explored a range of different aesthetic skins for visual schemes that looked professional and were readable in both bright and dim environments. This UI, created by our Experience Design team, is being used across HP’s entire family of Jet Fusion Products.
